From the Desk of the Principal
Psalm 127:3 & 4; “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and
the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand
of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.”
Our children are our most precious resource. God-given, they are
the earthly memorial to a parent’s legacy and reflections of
one’s priorities while in this life. We have our children for
such a brief time of preparation for their adult lives; it
behooves us to make the best of each opportunity to instill in
them the proper philosophy of life.
In the analogy in the above text, the child is likened to an
arrow. The archer only gets one shot with each arrow. Once
released from the bow, the arrow cannot be retrieved. The wise
parent will use every resource at his disposal to prepare each
“arrow” for flight to its target.
Temple Christian School has been established to minister to
families in the educational aspects of child rearing. Our desire
is for the complete development of the student: academically,
socially, artistically, physically and most importantly,
spiritually. We are not only attempting to teach children how to
make a living, but also how to live. Philippians 1:21 states;
“For to me to live is Christ…” This is what Christian education
is all about.
We anticipate God’s richest blessings upon the coming school
year. May we together work for the very best for His kingdom and
our children.
Because of Him,
David A. Cook
